That's an interesting question. To answer it, I reached out to Doug Harvel, a principle with consulting firm The RFID Team, who worked for a large apparel company and knows a lot of end users involved with tagging initiatives. Here's Doug's response: "Even in talking with people from Europe, I have found the EPC STGIN-96 is the most used with brand owners and retail. I have only heard the others used by a few, and mostly for internal use." My own knowledge of deployments in pharmaceuticals and other areas also suggests that EPC STGIN-96 is the most commonly used scheme.
