And how much would these cost?

There are several passive RFID container seals currently on the market. Yeon Technologies, in Taiwan, manufactures passive ultrahigh-frequency (UHF) e-seals (see RFID-Enabled Electronic Seals). So does CAEN RFID (see RFID News Roundup: CAEN RFID Intros New Specialty UHF RFID Tags, UHF E-Seal, UHF Reader Gate/Portal) and a Czech company called HL (see UHF Secure E-Seal and UHF RFID Seal).
Shenyang Shining Fortune Container Seal will exhibit a variety of passive RFID container seals (bolt seals, cable seals, plastic seals and more) at RFID Journal LIVE! 2014, which will be held in Orlando, Fla, on Apr. 8-10. And HID Global will exhibit its new SlimFlex Seal Tag at the event, which is designed for bags, bins and boxes, rather than for shipping containers.
Regarding price, I would say these range from $10 to $50 apiece, depending on how many you purchase and how robust the seal is.
