I have not seen such a guide. Most companies will work with a skilled systems integrator that has worked with many RFID products and knows the tags available. The integrator should be able to source two or three tags that would work for your application, then select the best option to meet your needs. If you wish to source directly from a tag provider, you would need to rely on that provider to suggest the tag most likely to work. For projects involving large volumes of tags, providers are typically happy to work with you and conduct some testing with different tags.
