We are using UHF RFID labels on our production parts, but we now want to add RFID tags to our parts bins as well. I only want to pick up the bin tags on a portal setup. What is the best way to accomplish this? Filters?

Ray,
You could perform middleware filtering, by which the system would look up which ID numbers were associated with specific parts bins, and then only pass that data on to your back-end system. That, however, requires a lookup for each tag read, which takes some time. It is likely easier to encode parts bin tags with a prefix, such as 999, and then have middleware or a program running on a reader filter out all serial numbers that do not begin with that sequence.
