Our government is about to introduce electronic number plate systems. I run a private number plate company. What will I need to do?

Misheck,
The first thing you would need to do is find out what type of RFID technology your government plans to use. I would assume that the government has guidelines, or plans to introduce them, that spell out the frequency of the transponders and readers, the air-interface protocol, the numbering scheme and any security features it plans to utilize, in order to ensure that the electronic license plates are not counterfeited. You should also find out whether the government plans to require the use of tags from particular vendors.
Assuming the introduction is not imminent, I would recommend you attend RFID Journal LIVE! 2018, which will be held on Apr. 10-12, in Orlando, Fla. This will give you the opportunity to learn what you need to know about RFID solutions. You will also be able to talk to solution providers from around the world, which will allow you to negotiate the best deals on the equipment you need.
