If such a system exists, I have not seen it. You could use Bluetooth-based tags, like the Tile, to track larger medical equipment in a home via a smartphone (see Who Says RFID Tags Pose a Privacy Risk or Are Too Costly? and What Are Tiles?). If any of our readers know of another way to do this, they are invited to post information below.
