It depends on your background. As RFID adoption begins to accelerate, there will be opportunities for people with the skills required to install RFID systems. There will be a need for product designers, including RF engineers and software developers. And there will be a big need for marketers, sales and support staff who know and understand the technology.
I would start by getting certified by the International RFID Institute (see A New RFID Certification), which would show that you understood the basics of the technology. I would strive to find a job with an RFID solution provider or a company deploying a solution, and then keep developing your expertise in the area. It might not be easy to get a foot in the door right now, but if you are a new college graduate, perhaps interning at an RFID company would be one way to get a start in the field.
