The RFID Professional Institute was formed in 2012 to fill this gap. The Institute was created by a group of industry professionals who have worked with subject-matter experts to create the RFID Professional Institute Associate certification. The group has plans for additional, higher-level certificates in the future (see Types of Certifications). Training and exams will be offered at RFID Journal's events in London, England, in November and in Arlington, Va., in December.
