If any do, which companies would you recommend I contact to procure some?

Srivatsan,

To my knowledge, there are no battery-assisted passive (BAP) tags (also called "semi-passive") tags on the market with an 80-meter (262-feet) read range. Confidex's BAP tag has a read range of 60 meters (197 feet), while Omni-ID's Power 50 BAP tag has a range of 50 meters (164 feet). CoreRFID offers a BAP tag, but I couldn't find any read distance information on the company's website. Convergence Systems Ltd. offers a BAP tag for ID cards which can be read near a human body, but it isn't designed for a very long read range. There are also a number of companies, such as CAEN RFID and Farsens, that offer BAP sensors, though these are designed to track temperature or humidity, not obtain a long read range.
