I’m unsure what you mean by “directly.” Most passive ultrahigh-frequency (UHF) readers provide a received signal strength indicator (RSSI), enabling users to estimate a tag’s relative distance to a reader. To my knowledge, however, most do not provide information about the signal’s angle of arrival. If any reader manufacturers do provide information regarding the angle of arrival, they are invited to post information below.
