It would be difficult to provide a definitive answer without knowing the exact situation. If the plastic corrugate were inside a safe with 6-inch lead walls, then the answer would be no. But if you were reading tags on cartons composed of plastic corrugate as they sat on a shelf or were passing through a dock door, then the answer would most likely be yes.
Plastic is RF-friendly, meaning it doesn’t absorb or reflect radio waves, allowing energy to reach the tag so it can respond. In fact, it should be easier to read tags on plastic corrugate than on cardboard corrugate, because the cardboard absorbs water, which absorbs radio waves in the ultrahigh-frequency (UHF) spectrum, making it more difficult to read passive UHF tags. Plastic doesn’t absorb water, so this problem doesn’t exist with plastic corrugate.
