Do they need to be programmed in a specific manner?

Jacqueline,

I apologize for the delay in responding to your question. I put a call out to TransCore and it took some time to receive a response. According to the company, the answer is "It depends." TransCore's eGo+ stickers feature a multiprotocol transponder. They can be programmed to use the American Trucking Association (ATA) air-interface protocol, known as ISO 18000-6B, or they can use SeGo, TransCore's proprietary high-speed read-write protocol (the one most tolling agencies use). It is possible to program the tags to use one, two or all three protocols, so if the tags were programmed to employ the ISO 18000-6B protocol, then you could purchase an ISO 18000-6B reader and it should be able to read them with no difficulty.
