How would one insert data, such as an automobile’s vehicle identification number, into an RFID tag?
It depends on the type of RFID system being used, but generally speaking, readers have an interface enabling them to be controlled by a computer. You could use that program’s write command to write to what is called user memory. In choosing a tag for this application, you should be sure that the memory can be locked, so that the vehicle ID, once it is written to the tag’s user memory, cannot be changed.
