Ask The ExpertsCan I Copyright Data on a Tag?

Would it be possible to do this to protect the information from unauthorized duplication?

I have not heard of anyone doing this. To my knowledge, any proprietary data written to a tag would be your copyrighted material by default. However, if someone were duplicating your tags, they probably wouldn't care whether or not you had formally copyrighted the information.

It's important to think about what data will be stored on a tag and who will have access to it. If you have sensitive data, choose tags that allow that information to be encrypted. Another option would be to store data in a secure database and link each tag ID to the information in that database.
