You would need to develop a specific system. RFID tags and readers can tell you the serial number on a tagged item. That number must be linked to something in a database—an object such as a piece of finished inventory. The reader also has an ID number that is usually linked to a location, so when a tag on the finished inventory is read, the database is updated with location information. You would need to create an app that could access that database information and provide it to an app user.
