If so, where can I find them?
Yes, France has a robust RFID industry. In fact, we host a French Pavilion every year at our RFID Journal LIVE! conference and exhibition (see RFID Journal LIVE! 2011 to Feature Pavilion of French RFID Companies and RFID Journal LIVE! 2012 to Host Auto-ID, French, Korean, Retail Apparel Pavilions). There are companies that make RFID readers in a variety of formats, such as Embisphere; those that produce high-memory tags for aerospace, such as MAINtag; firms that offer both tags and readers for special applications, such as STiD; businesses that supply blood-tracking solutions, such as Biolog-id; companies that manufacture RFID transponders that can be sewn into materials, such as Primo1D; and others that specialize in RFID systems for the agriculture sector, such as AGID. I would suggest you contact these firms directly to find out if they have the products you seek. If not, try the French National RFID Centre (CNRFID).
