ICICI Bank announced on Jan. 7, 2015, that it had introduced RFID-enabled credit cards in Gurgaon, Hyderabad and Mumbai. The bank also reported that 1,200 point-of-sale devices capable of accepting contactless payments had been set-up at merchants in these cities. To my knowledge, this is the only use of RFID credit cards in India, but perhaps our readers in that country might know of other examples. If so, they are invited to post information about it below.
