What range of frequencies is designated for the technology's use in that country?

The Department of Telecommunications, within the Indian Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, oversees the radio spectrum in India. The agency has designated 13.56 MHz for passive high-frequency (HF) RFID systems and 865 MHz to 867 MHz for passive ultrahigh-frequency (UHF) RFID technology.

As far as I am aware, India has not made license-free bands available for active RFID systems, which means if you wish to employ an active RFID system, you would first need to apply for a license. If any of our readers have more detailed information about the use of active RFID in India, they are invited to post it below.
