Registration Now Open for RFID Journal LIVE! 2011

The RFID industry's largest and most important event will be held on Apr. 12-14, in Orlando, Fla., and will feature more than 50 case studies presented by leading end users, as well as solutions from more than 175 technology companies.
Nov 08, 2010RFID Journal announced today that registration is now open for RFID Journal LIVE! 2011, the world's premier conference and exhibition focused on radio frequency identification (RFID) and its many business applications. Motorola will be the cornerstone and registration sponsor for the event, which will educate attendees about how best to integrate RFID technologies with their business needs.

LIVE! 2011, the ninth annual event produced by RFID Journal, will be held on Apr. 12-14 at the Orange Country Convention Center, located in Orlando, Fla. The event will feature five industry-specific and three level-of-expertise conference tracks, seven in-depth preconference seminars, fast-track CompTIA RFID+ training and certification, the RFID Journal Awards, and two co-located events (IEEE RFID 2011 and The Internet of Things), as well as exhibits and demonstrations conducted by numerous leading technology firms.

"RFID Journal LIVE! delivers more value to attendees every year, because there are more in-depth case studies, more sessions explaining how to successfully deploy the technology, and more RFID vendors offering vertical industry solutions," said Mark Roberti, RFID Journal's founder and editor. "The technology is maturing at a rapid pace, and we expect to see a great turnout this year."

The conference tracks will cover aviation and aerospace, defense and security, health care and pharmaceuticals, manufacturing and operations, retail and CPG, how to deploy RFID, supply chain and logistics, and visibility and traceability. Preconference seminars will provide in-depth education in such areas as construction, energy, food and agriculture, health care, IT, and warehouse and inventory management. What's more, RFID Journal University, RFID Journal's most popular preconference, will be offered this year in both Spanish and English.

The first co-located event, IEEE RFID 2011, will be the fifth in a series of conferences addressing theoretical, technical and implementation issues related to RF-based identification and communications systems. This conference is sponsored by the IEEE Technical Committee on RFID (CRFID), a group specially chartered to address radio frequency identification issues. The other co-located event, The Internet of Things, will cover an E.U.-funded project known as Co-ordination and Support Action for Global RFID-related Activities and Standardization (CASAGRAS2). This one-day event will focus on the architecture, identification and data-capture protocols, applications and services frameworks, R&D roadmaps, education and training necessary to make the Internet of Things a reality.

Additionally, LIVE! 2010 will feature a workshop for apparel suppliers looking to learn how to tag items for retail partners. The Apparel Supplier Workshop will explore the benefits that can be achieved from using RFID internally to manage inventory and improve picking and shipping operations. Attendees who register early will have the opportunity to save more than $600 off regular rates for the RFID industry's most important event.
