In Europe, RFID technologies are being deployed at many large, midsize and small businesses to improve efficiencies, enhance visibility, reduce shrinkage and achieve other significant business benefits (see Europe Is Rolling Out RFID and Full Steam Ahead for UHF RFID in Europe). With that in mind, RFID Journal LIVE! Europe 2014, held on Oct. 23, in London, England, was designed to help companies determine the best RFID technology to address their business challenges, learn best practices from early adopters, find the right technology partners and move forward with implementation.

Two hundred attendees took part in this year's LIVE! Europe event, which featured new case studies to help companies determine how they can take advantage of RFID technologies. The conference opened with three general sessions, and then divided into two tracks. The Retail Track offered case studies by retailers benefiting from the use of RFID, while the Main Track covered a variety of applications relevant to businesses in manufacturing, logistics and other industries.

During the conference, visitors had the opportunity to take a beta test to become certified by the International RFID Institute (see A New RFID Certification and International RFID Institute to Deliver Certification Exam at RFID Journal LIVE! Europe 2014). The event also included an exhibit hall showcasing the leading RFID solution providers, covering all types of RFID technologies, such as passive low-frequency (LF), high-frequency (HF) and ultrahigh-frequency (UHF) RFID, as well as every flavor of active RFID and real-time location systems (RTLS).

Recordings of the event's speaker presentations are now available in RFID Journal's online video library. Links to videos of the sessions are provided below and on the following pages, along with PDFs of the slides used in those presentations (not all speakers have granted permission to have their presentations and/or slides archived).
