Businesses worldwide are utilizing radio frequency identification across a variety of sectors, in order to reduce operational costs, increase efficiencies and improve customer service. At RFID Journal LIVE! 2014RFID Journal's 12th annual conference and exhibition, held on Apr. 8-10, at the Orange County Convention Center, in Orlando, Fla.—visitors attended presentations from more than 50 end users regarding new applications for RFID. These sessions explained how to overcome implementation challenges, achieve business benefits, and track and manage assets.

Recordings of the event's speaker presentations are now available in RFID Journal's online video library. Links to videos of the main-conference and solution-provider sessions, as well as the RFID Journal Awards and the Coolest Demo Contest, are provided on the following pages, along with PDFs of the slides used in those presentations (not all speakers have granted permission to have their presentations and/or slides archived). Videos and PDFs from the conference's keynote addresses, as well as the pre- and post-conference seminars and workshops, were spotlighted last week in part 1 of this report.


Manufacturing Track

RFID is contributing to improving efficiencies at many organizations. Manufacturing firms are employing the technology to achieve major benefits, both in their supply chains and in their factory operations. From lowering the cost of managing the supply chain to preserving and creating value in physical assets, RFID is playing a critical role in reducing attrition of all-important profits and turning enterprise asset management from a loss leader into a profit center. Whether for tracking inventory, assets, processes or personnel, RFID is the key to steering an organization toward better profitability, and this track focused on how manufacturing firms are utilizing RFID to achieve benefits today.
