Can I Stop RFID Tags from Being Read?
Is there a way to prevent passive paper tags from being energized or read while inside a Class 1 Div 2 (flammable) environment?
If you do not send energy to the tag from a reader antenna, then the tag will not be read. If you are asking whether it is possible to read some tags but not those embedded in paper labels, then the answer is "no." A tag can be read and then told not to respond again, but all tags in the field will respond to a reader unless told not to do so.
