Do Any Companies Offer Passive RFID Tags With a Read Distance of 15 Feet or More?
Which tag manufacturers would you recommend I contact to purchase them?
Most passive UHF RFID transponders can be read from 15 feet away (though some tags are designed to be read at shorter ranges), so you could reach out to almost any company that sells passive UHF RFID tags. I recommend that you come up with specifications indicating exactly what you need in addition to the 15-foot read range, then reach out to some of the leading RFID companies. Among the leading providers of simple labels are Avery Dennison, Smartrac and Invengo, while companies such as Stora Enso and BSN make tags that can be recycled. There are also firms that offer tags designed to work on metal objects or survive harsh conditions.
