How Has the Adoption of RFID-based RTLS Solutions Progressed Recently?
I would like to know about the pulse of active RFID in health care in the United States, and specifically in the New York region. What can you tell me about it?
In general, there has been a slowdown in the adoption of active RFID-based real-time location systems (RTLS). We have not published as many articles about such deployments during the last two or three years. There has been steady interest in using RFID for tracking implants and other high-value consumable products in hospitals. I don't know that the New York region has been any faster or slower than in the rest of the country, but anecdotally, I would say it's probably about the same.
