Finalists Unveiled for 13th Annual RFID Journal Awards

RFID Journal has announced the finalists for its 2019 awards. The winners will be revealed at this year's LIVE! event, being held in Phoenix, Ariz., on Apr. 2-4.

RFID Journal, the leading source of news and in-depth information regarding radio frequency identification, has unveiled the finalists for its 2019 RFID Journal Awards. The winners will be announced at the 17th annual RFID Journal LIVE! conference and exhibition, to be held at Arizona's Phoenix Convention Center on Apr. 2-4, 2019. All finalists in the end-user categories will be invited to speak at the event, and the winners, along with the other end-user finalists, will each receive a prestigious crystal award.

"This year's entries included some of the largest and most complex RFID deployments ever undertaken," says Mark Roberti, RFID Journal's founder and editor. "These finalists show how RFID is delivering tremendous business value across different industries and in different applications. Attendees at LIVE! 2019 will benefit from hearing about these deployments and seeing the products chosen as among the best this year."

• Lockheed Martin

The judges also selected 10 finalists for Best New Product being exhibited at this year's LIVE! event. The finalists are:

• AB&R's ZC10L RFID direct-to-card printer
• ABR Industries' ABR195WF 50-ohm, low-loss flexible coaxial cable
• FEIG Electronics' HyWEAR wearable hybrid bar-code and UHF RFID reader
• PervasID's Multi-Ranger overhead reader system
• RF Controls' CS-445B passive RTLS antenna
• Seeonic's XTAG for enabling RFID, NFC and IoT cross-compatibility
• Technologies ROI's Phoenix 550c high-heat tag
• Jadak's ThingMagic EL6e Smart Module embedded RFID reader
• Zebra Technologies' ATR7000 passive RFID real-time location system
• Zebra Technologies' MC3300R Series integrated UHF RFID handhelds

In addition, RFID Journal's editors will present the 2019 RFID Special Achievement Award to the IEEE Council on RFID. The council was chosen for its promotion of academic research into RFID by hosting the annual IEEE RFID international conference.
