Senseon Secure Access to Demo RFID Locking System for Retailers

Senseon Secure Access has announced that it will demonstrate and discuss its RFID-based electronic locking solution for retail environments at next week's GlobalShop 2018 event in Chicago. Senseon, from Accuride International, was a winner in last year's GlobalShop Product Design Competition.

"Our keyless system uses proprietary technology to help retailers protect high-end merchandise, such as jewelry or consumer electronics, while improving the customer experience, design and efficiency," said Daniel Rodriguez, Senseon's national sales manager, in a prepared statement. "In addition to showing our current Senseon system, we will be sharing information on new features we plan to introduce this fall, including audit trails, alarms and discretionary access."

Keyless and hidden inside cabinets, the RFID-powered Senseon system can be integrated with new or existing cabinetry and casework, as well as with other access-control systems. It provides four times the strength of conventional locks, the company claims, and makes merchandise readily available to authorized employees, enabling them to remain on the sales floor with customers.

The system features an absence of keyholes, visible locks or key rings. Other features suitable for retail include auto-relock, auto-open and hands-free touch-release.
