Apparel companies, makers of high end handbags and shoes, pharmaceutical manufacturers and many others whose products are counterfeited are looking at radio frequency identification not just as a source of unique identification, but also a means to authenticate and secure the integrity of products. To do that, they need to ensure that the RFID tag and the serial number it contains are themselves not counterfeited. In this Webinar, Verayo's explains how its new Vera M4H RFID IC, based on the company's silicon biometrics technology, known as Physical Unclonable Functions (PUF), represents a novel approach for IC authentication, which can be used for anticounterfeiting and also in mass transit, event ticketing, secure IDs, access cards and other applications.
