VeriChip IPO Focuses Attention on Human Implants
24 CommentsI'm not a big fan of implanting people with radio frequency identification transponders. It's unnecessary and a little creepy. There certainly could be some benefits to doing so. After Hurricane Katrina, thousands of people saw their medical records wiped out because the physical documents were destroyed. And many people left their homes in the middle of the night wearing only their pajamas, so they had no way to prove who they were when seeking medical treatment.
By linking electronic medical records stored securely in a remote location and backed up properly to a chip inside a person, that person could be sure he or she would always be able to be identified and have access to medical records. But not everyone likes the idea of getting implanted. It's the stuff of TV dramas, and it scares people. My view is that a pendant with an RFID transponder in it could work just as well.
VeriChip's initial public offering (see VeriChip Launches IPO) has focused attention on RFID implants, and that has had a chilling effect on some people's attitude toward RFID. The Securities and Exchange Commission requires companies to provide full disclosure of everything that could have an effect on the stock of a company going public. Opponents of RFID have pointed out that VeriChip lays out nearly 20 pages of risk factors in its Form S-1 Registration Statement, a required document for the IPO.
I don't know if VeriChip is a good or a bad investment. I don't know if getting a chip under your skin is a good or bad idea. But I do know that the undue media attention focused on this one company offering a niche application of RFID is having a negative impact on the public perception of RFID. That's unfortunate, because so few people, so far, have chosen to "get chipped."

Let me help you out here, Mr. Roberti. You don't know if this company will be a good investment. The answer is yes. And why? Because too many pinheads exactly like you are incapable of making decisions for themselves, and will happily and blindly buy into the government and corporate propaganda that will pass for rational discussion in favor of making them legally mandatory at some point in the not too distant future. You don't know if it is a good idea to get one. Your article demonstrates that they are not for you at this time. May I suggest that you consider your first implant to be that of a functioning brain.

This verichip is a bad idea as many articles have been written about the infection it can cause. My main concern is what GOD has to say about this, thou shalt not take any mark on the hand or the forehead for this is the mark of the beast and it is the number of a man ( or organization) and the number is 666, Times are coming when the truly good christians will have to make a decision,accept Jesus Christ and his teachings and refuse the mark. By accepting the mark, we undermine the teachings of not only Jesus Christ but of our HEAVENLY FATHER whose word is LAW for all mankind. I would rather die than accept anything that I was not sure of that could possibly be the mark. AND I am not the only one feeling this way either.

If I wanted a dog lead, I would have beeen born a dog. I am not a slave. I am a human-being. I refuse now and in the future to even consider having a CHIP implanted in my body. I do not trust any Government that imposes this horror upon me.

Must be nice not to live in the real world
The level of the vitriole says something here, but let me answer the people who are too shallow to examine issues objectively. My post was badly worded. Ths issue is not needing to prove who you are. The issue is identifying someone so they can be treated. Some people might know their medical history and be able to related to a physician. Some might not. Moreover, if someone is found unconscious or has been injured so badly they are unable to speak, how do you find out if they are alergic to the medication they need? Identification of the patient and the ability call up their medical records is crucial to saving lives.

Are you sure?
Before we answer "yes", or "no" to the prospect of recieving an inplanted micro chip - maybe we should find out what it is capable of doing. Has anyone read "non-lethal weaponry " and the non-thermal affects of microwaves on biologival systems? Have you read DR. Robert Becker, Andreja Puharich, or Cheryl Welsh , one of the world leading authorities on frequencies, implants, and the truth about what these devices are capable of doing? These are NOT simply for medical information. We all kno9w that if technology can be used for dark purposes, it will be used for dark purposes. You can lecture all you want about howe absurd it is to believe that any government would consider using this technology to control, or influence innocent American citizens, but it doesn't change that facts. These devices CAN be used to affect thoughts, behavior,mood, libido, anger, passivity etc. Find out the facts and then present your lectures about the conspiracy theorists manufacturing false concerns. Allergic Reality
Paramedics or emergency workers should be professional enough to examine a situation objectively without the aid of a chip. Your medical past isn't nessarcarily gonna affect your health today, people over come diseases and their biology is renewed. This is either a poor attempt at propaganda taking the "neutral" stance to our obvious concerns about the microchip or we're actually seeing a genuine turn around in the whole human chipping scenario. Could it be that those that are savvy (good and bad) to this identity tyranny are starting to lose faith in this control mechanism. Cos let's face it, this control grid that's steamrolling through will ONLY benefit the Elite. MIDDLE-CLASS WAKE-UP!!

People who believe the book of Revelation is about these times say that the mark will be a chip in the right hand or forehead. Does that mean this won't be the "Mark" if it's implanted in your arm or foot?

I,m sorry to say all the things that one might fear with something like this is allready here. Lets just say I know for absolute certainty , they have implanted someone without there knowledge, and it does a whole lot more than track. Your "solutions" are the earmark of NWO profiteering and proliferation. VeriMed provides no solution that hasn't pre-existed your arrival - medical bracelets (allergens and afflictions), medical cards and health records available at a keystroke. VeriGuard - ever heard of access cards? At least one can remove them at one's leisure w/o having to dig under one's skin to do so! RoamAlert & WatchMate - have we forgotten the concept of responsibility - have we grown too complacent and lazy. HALO & Hugs - again, corporate responsibility and proper resource management - your product line does nothing but promote profit over people, or, rather control over people. RFID chips helped identify people in Katrina? As did countless DNA tests w/o intruding on personal privacy. You, sir, are little more than either an NWO puppeteer or puppet. The masses will not tolerate your invasive technology in this country. Unstoppable Intrusion
So...I can enter this comment "anonymously" with an alias?? Please...my IP address could tell you as much about me as any RFID chip ever will. We can protest all we want but our privacy isn't GOING...it's already GONE. Once those wheels are set in motion, one would have a better chance pushing a dead elephant out of the middle of the road by hand than stopping that action. Once the technology exists we find a way, humans that we are, to use that technology to exert power over others. Sure, present it with cake icing on it and promise us that if our child is kidnapped the "authorities" can find them before the kidnapper perpetrates atrocious acts...no such power exists within the human realm. It is a gentle tugging at the half-asleep sheep, too stressed out with mortgages, overtime, tuition, and other distractions to think clearly about other implications. Sure it will be presented as a "convenience" to our busy, harrassed society, too busy to think for ourselves, all afraid for our safety...but I urge you to wake up. It is what it is people. The ultimate control over us...who we are inside and out, what we are worth, and even where we are every minute of every day for the rest of our lives. We may as well be branded cattle roaming the range.

RFID is being pushed forward at every level in the US and EU. These corperations only see the $11B profit line. All discussions taking place are about deployment and methods to sell this horror to the public. This is a sick idea and will meet with massive resistance. I for one will be among them and resolve to fight and die before you try your dogtags on me.

This notion that a verichip under the skin in the mark of the beast is pure nonsense. The mark of the beast is not an implanted computer chip, a smart card, a bar code or social insurance number or failure to observe the Jewish Sabbath. False Belief Makes Its Mark
My family would rather not have chips placed into our bodies, we don't even want to be a recipient of a paper cut either. We realize one reason for the fear of these chips being implanted is the idea of it being a mark of a beast, but that is not the case. There are many key elements that direct a person to who and what the beast and its mark is. One element is an image is made that people bow down to and worship and another is it has a name. Bio-chips, social security numbers, government brandings, and other concoctions do not fit. If you take the number 666 and write it in the Hebrew numbering system using letters you come up with vstr, or vav samech tav resh. Vav is a prefix while the root str means secret or hidden. If you then look up the symbols of the letters they are nail, prop, cross, and head, and mean nail, prop, mark or sign, and head or leader. If you put these together it is the crucifix, the image of the beast. If you then take the name of the image, jesus, and add it up it comes to 616. The True Messiah/Christ warned that if another came in his own name he would be accepted, and he said many will come saying they are the Messiah/Christ. He gave us the tools to figure out who this deceiver would be and pointed out the deceiver would sit in the temple of God making himself out to be God and the whole world would be deceived. No one is supposed to bow down to idols or serve them. This is what marks an individual. Do not bow down to them (mark on your forehead) and do not serve them (mark on your hand).
