Tagging & privacy in the age of global jihad

B. JAMES, 09.15.2003 7:15:30 pm

Dear all you 'taggers' out there,

Have you ever thought for a moment that the technology these companies are developing will be used in the Global War on Terror?

Have you ever thought that whether you like it or not, RFID tagging will enable certain doors in public buildings to close or open based on whether the tag you wear fits a certain 'profile' or not?

Have you ever thought that someday governments may mandate (in the name of preventing suicide bombers or saboteurs) that you have tags or chips implanted UNDER YOUR SKIN in order for you to gain access to secure areas, to fly on planes or to go into banks or courthouses? After all a terrorist can always steal the tag that's embedded in the access cards that we use today.

Think people. Think. Is the extra $$ profit really really worth it?

I feel like I'm in 'The Terminator' and I'm watching SkyNet being built right in front of my eyes . . .
