RFID Track Satellite GPS GMPCS

In Supply chain, goods are basically tagged with passive RFID which require wake-up signal energy to activate its ID, and cannot transmit high power RF signal to reach up to a satellite. Active RFID (battery operated) requires external Power Amplifier (Power Amp.) to send signal to a satellite. GPS is a receiver and it does not use Power Amp., whereas, satellite mobile such as GMPCS can send signal to a satellite. Thus, I think, supply with active RFID along with GMPCS can be tracked by a satellite, but the system is bulky and it could be killed by pulling power pack. With wake-up signal from satellite, passive RFID could be activate but it again require GMPCS. Savi Inc. Claims that it ‘provides satellite communications to the DoD's In-Transit Visibility (ITV) network, which is the world's largest active RFID cargo tracking system’.
