RE: N. H. Reps Approve ‘Tracking Device’ Bill

Even though I do not believe it is necessary, and that it will just result in higher overhead costs passed onto the consumer, I am OK with some kind of notification of "RFID inside".

The reason I can accept this is because, ultimately, it should be the individual who is free to choose whether a particular RFID application is a net benefit to him/her or not. More information helps make more informed choices.

If not, then they should be free to abstain exposure to RFID via some mechanism to kill or shut it off.

If on the other hand, there is net benefit to the individual and that benefit is not at the expense of one or more individuals, then the individual should be free to use RFID -- it should not be dictated by Uncle Sam.

I personally think that RFID tags can have tremendous benefit to society as long as the individual has control of how it is used in their specific situation.
