my comments as a privat person with more than 20 years experiences in RFID:
did anyone check the real value of Intermecs IPR's from a technical point of view ? I feel they are not that strong at all. what is the general opinion toward the patents US 5850181 / 5828693 / 6429775 . compare it to WO 9707413 which is unfortunately in german, but to my opinion states exactly the same. the WO 9707413 was not applied for by the company. so isn't it public information to use frequency hopping for rfid after all, because the latter publication dates almost 1 year before the intermecs first patent ?
