The intersection of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) introduces new possibilities for data analysis, automation, and decision-making.

Innovation 2024 will highlight the accelerated pace of innovation. Innovation 2024 sessions at RFID Journal LIVE! will feature sessions including Think Holistically About Data Capture, All You Need is Love…and NFC…and Blockchain, and Unleashing RFID to Create Innovation.

Below is the schedule for the Innovation 2024 sessions is taking place on April 10 in Room 359.

RFID and Sunrise 2027

Time: 9:45-10:30 a.m.

Session Description: Whether you’re a brand owner, regulator, distributor, retailer, or consumer, we all need more of the right product data in the right place. The standard barcode, like the UPC, only holds basic product identification – and stakeholders and consumers need more. In response, the global supply chain is moving toward two-dimensional (2D) barcodes that can carry more information, with the Sunrise 2027 initiative focused on enabling 2D barcodes at point-of-sale.  This session will explore the synergies between 2D barcodes and RFID in light of Sunrise 2027.RFID Journal Live

Lojas Renner Increases Customer Satisfaction with RFID

Session Description: Lojas Renner S.A. was the 2023 RFID Journal award winner in the category of Best Retail or IoT Implementation. With more than 600 stores, the chain maintains a presence throughout Brazil in the fashion, home and decoration segments, with its Renner, Camicado and Youcom brands. Renner also operates in Argentina and Uruguay as well, and in addition to being one of the top 10 brands in Brazil, it is a recognized leader in omnichannel fashion retailing. The company has successfully implemented RFID at all Renner locations, tagging over 500 million of its products giving it greater visibility and inventory accuracy. Riverside Greetings Uses AI, RFID to Improve Inventory Tracking and Sales

Session Description: Greeting card supplier Riverside Greetings has launched an AI and RFID-based system to manage its merchandise in its 3,500 customer sites throughout the UK. Its displays—at convenience stores and gas stations, schools, and hospital gift shops—often display hundreds of different card types. With the implementation of the technology, the company’s sales representatives can attend each customer site with an RFID reader and capture the unique ID of each card that is displayed there for stocking purposes. Learn how the system intelligence is providing benefits to the company and its customers far beyond stock counting, and is offering visibility into sales trends for specific cards and market segments at each store, thereby aiding in card design and stocking plans that the company forecasts increasing sales.

Falabella Uses RFID to Support Omnichannel Strategy

Session Description: Falabella, a multinational retailer in Latin America, operating in Chile, Peru and Colombia, was an early adopter of RFID technology. In 2018 they conducted their first pilot project and over the years have expanded their use of RFID. The Need for Accuracy at Speed: Revolutionizing Retail with Near 100% Accurate Real-Time Location Tracking
