How Can I Create an App for Filling Out Forms Using a Motorola Reader?
I have a Motorola MC9090-G RFID handled interrogator, and I need to develop an application in which a user can fill out a form on the device, and data would then be written to a tag's memory. Can you please provide some guidance about how I might achieve this goal?
I reached out to Motorola to answer your question. Here is the response I received:
"To get started, please download an Enterprise Mobility Developer Kit (EMDK). Depending on the developer's preference and requirement, we support both C and .Net versions of EMDK. Once the desired EMDK is downloaded and installed, you will find six sample apps that come with the EMDK. The sample apps have the samples codes showing how to connect to a reader, perform read and write operations, and so on. This should get you started.
"Just as a note, MC9090-G is an older version of our handheld reader. The new one is called MC9090-Z, which has richer features and better performance. Both devices use the same EMDK, so the app developed for MC9090-G can be ported over to MC9090-Z."
If you have any further questions, Yogesh, I can put you in touch with the appropriate person at Motorola, who can help you.
