Where Can I Find RFID Interrogator Pricing Info?
Which company manufactures and sells the least expensive stationary passive RFID reader that is good-quality and offers a read range of at least 10 feet?
Vendors are extremely reluctant to publish pricing, claiming it depends on volume, configuration and so forth. For that reason, I am reluctant to point you to a specific company or product.
I will say that you should be able to obtain an ultrahigh-frequency (UHF) reader with a built-in antenna for under $1,000, from several vendors. A search of the Web should turn up distributors with discounts. Just be sure the model you order, if it has external antennas, includes the antennas, cabling and other extras.
If vendors or distributors want to quote their pricing below, I'm sure many of our readers would be interested.
