Where Can I Find an RFID Manufacturer in Europe for Embedding RFID in Vegetable Crates?
Can you please recommend a company whose tags can survive the injection-molding process?
In Europe, I would suggest you contact Würth Elektronik embids, a division of Würth Elektronik, a German company that manufactures printed circuit boards (PCBs). The firm has developed a tag that can withstand the injection-molding process, so it can be embedded in crates (see Würth Elektronik Manufactures a Tougher Breed of Tag). William Frick & Co., in the United States, also makes tags that can withstand the injection-molding process (see William Frick & Co.'s Gen 2 UHF Tags Take the Heat for Manufacturing Apps).
Leading RFID transponder providers, including Avery Dennison, Smartrac Technologies and Invengo, might also have transponders that can survive the injection-molding process. They also have tags that can be affixed to the outside of containers and survive the washing process.
