What Is an RFID System?
What is the specific definition of the term?
There is no specific definition of the term. We use it to refer to a complete solution—transponders (or tags), readers, middleware (not required, but often used for filtering raw data from readers) and software that uses the collected RFID data to generate business value. Active RFID-based real-time location systems also include software for locating tagged objects on a map.
