Are There Any Active UHF Tags That Can Be Read Using an EPC Class 1 Gen 2 Reader?
By that, I mean the type normally used for passive tags, 902 to 928 MHz.
No, there are no active tags that use the passive ultrahigh-frequency (UHF) EPC Gen 2 RFID protocol. There are, however, battery-assisted tags, which have a longer read range than a typical passive tag and can support an onboard sensor. You can search RFID Connect for "battery-assisted tags" or "BAP tags," as they are sometimes known.
