Can BAP Tags Report Product Storage Temperatures?

Posted By RFID Journal, 10.24.2014

We have a potential client looking for a battery-assisted passive (BAP) tag that would be able to report the temperature at which a product is stored. Can you please recommend some BAP temperature sensors?

John,

Here are some BAP temperature sensor options of which I am aware:

Convergence Systems Ltd.'s CS8300 tag and CScs9010 tag

CAEN RFID's A927Z and RT0005 tags

TraceTech's RFID inlays and tags

Confidex's Temperature Monitoring Label

Phase IV Engineering Inc.'s ultrahigh-frequency (UHF) RFID sensors
