Do All RFID Systems Rely on Software to Send Information to a Tag?
And is there any way to write data to the tag without requiring chip-level coding?
It would be difficult to provide an answer without knowing which type of RFID technology you are asking about. Active systems are different from passive ones, and within each category, the solutions can be very different. In general, I would say that most RFID technologies rely on software to transmit information to be written to a tag. For passive ultrahigh-frequency (UHF) systems, many companies sell out-of-the-box solutions for writing data to a tag. For active RFID, the hardware and software are typically sold as a complete solution.
