When Was the First Human Implantation of an RFID Chip?

How long ago did this occur?

I believe the ancient Mayans injected strong-smelling seeds in people so that they could be tracked via the smell, but I don't think scientists have actually confirmed that. Actually, I have no idea when the first RFID chip was implanted in a human, though I'd imagine it was probably sometime around 2001. If any of our reader have any information that might shed some light on this question, please post it below.
