How Is the Global Market Situation for Active RFID in 2013?
Are there any promising applications appearing this year?
I am unaware of any truly new applications that did not exist before. That said, active RFID systems are gaining traction within the oil and gas, mining and construction sectors, as well as continuing their penetration in health care for monitoring hospital equipment. In addition, a growing number of manufacturers are starting to use active RFID systems to track tools and equipment at large facilities, as well as containers in distribution yards. Perhaps some of our readers might be aware of new emerging active RFID systems; if so, they are invited to post information below.
