Could We Use a 2.4 GHz Active RFID Reader to Interrogate 2.4 GHz Passive Tags?

Would it be possible for our company to do this, given the same frequency?

No, I'm sorry, but that would not be possible. Frequency is not the only factor involved in tag-to-reader communication—the tags and readers must also employ the same air-interface protocol. The protocols can be based on open standards, or they can be proprietary. Active and passive tags utilize different protocols, so it would be like a passive tag speaking French to an active RFID system that only understood Chinese.
