Technology Review, a magazine published by MIT Review, will hold a live Webcast called "The Future of RFID" on March 20, from 11.00 a.m. to 12 p.m. EDT, in conjunction with the North of England Inward Investment Agency.

A panel of four RFID experts will explore the current state of RFID and the future impact of this revolutionary technology. They will address such issues as:

• What is being done to overcome the lack of a global standard and rising privacy concerns that have slowed the adoption of this promising technology?
• Will the EPCglobal Network be able institute an effective global standard that will span country boundaries?
• What are the promising technologies on the horizon, and what is their potential impact?

The session will be moderated by Jason Pontin, editor-in-chief and publisher of Technology Review. The panelists are:

• John Greaves, director, RFID pioneer and former vice president, NCR's Global RFID Group
• David Jacoby, president, Boston Logistics Group
• Yael Maguire, cofounder and CTO, ThingMagic
• Sanjay Sarma, cofounder, Auto-ID Center, MIT and EPCGlobal Board Member
