Registration Now Open for RFID Journal's 10th Annual Event
RFID Journal LIVE! 2012 will feature more than 50 case studies presented by leading end users, as well as solutions from more than 175 technology companies.
Nov 16, 2011—RFID Journal announced today that registration is now open for the RFID Journal LIVE! 2012 conference and exhibition, focused on radio frequency identification and its many business applications. Motorola Solutions will be the cornerstone and registration sponsor for LIVE! 2012, RFID Journal's 10th annual event.
LIVE! 2012 will be held on Apr. 3-5, at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin, located in Orlando, Fla. The conference will feature four industry-specific and four level-of-expertise conference tracks, as well as eight in-depth preconference seminars and workshops, fast-track RFID deployment training from RFID4U, the RFID Journal Awards, and two co-located events—IEEE RFID 2011 and AIDC 100: RFID and Bar-Code Co-existence. In addition, the conference will offer exhibits and demonstrations conducted by the industry's leading technology firms.
"Ten years of hosting LIVE! is a milestone for RFID Journal," says Mark Roberti, RFID Journal's founder and editor. "Even more important, it is a milestone for the RFID industry. The technology has matured a great deal since our first event, and next year's conference will showcase how end users are deploying the technology and innovative solutions currently on the market."
The conference tracks will cover defense and aerospace, health care and pharmaceuticals, manufacturing and operational efficiency, retail and apparel, and technology and infrastructure, as well as how to achieve a return on investment (ROI), enhance visibility and traceability, and improve supply chain and logistics. The preconference seminars will provide in-depth education covering such areas as energy, health care and IT, and will also include RFID Journal University, the company's most popular preconference. Workshops will focus on Near Field Communication (NFC), apparel, and warehouse and inventory management, as well as security, privacy and legislation.
For the fifth year in a row, the IEEE will collocate its international RFID conference with RFID Journal LIVE! 2012. As in previous years, the 2012 event will feature a series of seminars addressing theoretical, technical and implementation issues related to RF-based identification and communications systems. IEEE RFID 2012 will be sponsored by the IEEE Technical Committee on RFID (CRFID), a group specially chartered to address issues related to radio frequency identification.
In addition, AIDC 100, a nonprofit international organization of automatic identification and data capture (AIDC) professionals, will hold its annual meeting at LIVE! 2012. Its seminar, AIDC 100: RFID and Bar-Code Co-existence, will focus on lessons learned under a broader array of technologies falling under the category of AIDC.
RFID Journal plans to have much in store for attendees, speakers and vendors, in order to celebrate its milestone anniversary event. Attendees registering early will have the opportunity to save more than $600 off regular rates for the RFID industry's most important conference and exhibition.
