RFID Journal, the world's leading media and events company covering radio frequency identification (RFID), today announced that several leading technology firms will participate in a series of live technology demonstrations on the exhibit floor at RFID Journal LIVE! 2011, being held on Apr. 12-14, 2011, at the Orange County Convention Center, in Orlando, Fla.

In addition to more than 175 RFID exhibitors showcasing their latest solutions in the exhibit hall, there will also be two main demonstration areas providing attendees with the opportunity to experience firsthand how RFID can be used to streamline processes and enhance efficiencies in a variety of supply chain applications. Each area will conduct a series of demonstrations. The GS1 RFID Apparel Demonstrations will showcase the dramatic benefits of RFID in the apparel supply chain, while the RFID-Enabled Supply Chain Demonstrations will focus on applications of the technology relevant to industrial manufacturing, automotive, agribusiness, paper, food, consumer packaged goods (CPG) and government businesses.

This series of demonstrations will show how goods can be tracked from the point of manufacture to the point of sale, and showcase several applications in manufacturing and warehouse management, as well as at stores.

RFID-ENABLED SUPPLY CHAIN DEMONSTRATIONS

Sponsored by Rush Tracking Systems, with Skytrax, Impinj and Intelligent Global Pooling Systems (iGPS) This live manufacturing supply chain demonstration will showcase RFID and related technologies, including Skytrax's overhead locationing system, that can be brought together to radically improve efficiencies in a variety of common use cases--such as warehouse, shipping, labor productivity and asset utilization--in order to improve supply chain performance.

"I am thrilled that we can include these important demonstrations on our show floor," said Mark Roberti, RFID Journal's founder and editor. "The apparel series will allow attendees to experience how retailers are dramatically improving in-store inventory accuracy and replenishment, which enables them to sell more goods at a higher price. And the manufacturing demonstrations will showcase how every industry can improve their supply chain to reap these types of rewarding business benefits. It's important for business executives to see these products in action, and to be able to get their questions answered by industry experts, all in one place."
