October 19, 2004—The RFID Knowledgebase from IDTechEx now includes over one thousand case studies in RFID implementation, with over 1,250 companies covered. Notable trends from the report include the under-reported popularity of active tagging, as well as the almost exclusive use of 13.56MHz in item-level RFID tagging initiatives. The knowledgebase is categorized into the following vertical industries: airlines and airports, animals and farming, financial and security, healthcare, land and sea logistics, laundry, leisure, libraries and archiving, manufacturing, military, passenger transport, and retail and consumer packaged goods. Annual subscriptions are available for $2,750 US.
