August 16, 2004—Database maker Sybase this week announced its foray into RFID. The company is currently developing RFID middleware that will serve to manage and filter the data produced by enterprise RFID implementations. An RFID Early Adopter Program was also announced, which offers participating partner companies access to the Sybase middleware before its official release later this year.
