August 12, 2004—RFID security continues to heat up as an issue confronting the technology. Recent innovations for RFID data protection include tag identification spoofing methods, tag disabling in predefined privacy zones, and opting-out, in which an RFID tag owner determines whether or not the tag can be identified.
