RFID Bracelets a Success at Fuji Rock Festival

August 4, 2004—RFID bracelets provided by Japan's Softbank were a success last weekend at the Fuji Rock Festival '04. Festival authorities had historically used wristbands that needed to be visiually checked by staff. This year, in an effort to curtail forged wristbands and speed the flow of attendees, the festival opted for Softbank's RFID system, which reportedly counted all 100,000-plus visitors accurately.
